tnerit is an online rental marketplace, allowing for seamless Borrower and Lender transactions. tnerit users can benefit from both earning, and/or saving money simultaneously. In a nutshell, a Borrower can request an item listed by a Lender for a specified rental price per day, quantity, and rent duration (minimum of 1 day & maximum of 90 days). Once a Lender accepts a request, both parties agree on a location to pick up/drop off the item. The item is returned by the Borrower to the Lender at the end of the rent and both parties rate each other. It’s that simple!
Anyone 18 years of age and older.
You can sign up by providing the following information or via your Facebook account.
For Businesses, the following are required in addition to the above:
Once you’ve clicked “✓”, your details will be sent for verification, and once they’re verified (within 6 hours of signing up) you’ll be able to start using the tnerit platform. Prior to verification, you’ll only be able to explore items listed on the platform.
Literally nothing!
We currently operate in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), specifically Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.
A Lender is the owner of an item listed on tnerit and a Borrower is the person who rents an item listed by a Lender on tnerit.
tnerit charges both the Borrower and the Lender a rental fee:
Honestly, it depends on the Lender. tnerit allows Lenders to adjust their rent duration to a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 90 days.
To simplify things, we’ve programmed all rents to start at 12:00am and end at 11:59 pm. For example, if you’ve rented an item for tomorrow (for 1 day), the rent starts at 12:00am and ends at 11:59 pm that same day.
You can start messaging once a Lender accepts the rent request submitted by a Borrower. Our secure messaging service allows you to send messages and voice notes. Messages expire 48 hours after the rent expiry/cancellation, giving you both enough time to communicate if you need to!
tnerit only displays your username to others (regardless of whether you’re a Borrower or a Lender). Everything else like your full name, email address, mobile number, Emirates ID, and company details are “Only for your eyes”.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details.
Borrowers and Lenders rate one another after the rental period is over on a scale of 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest) stars. If you’re both a Borrower and a Lender, you’ll have 2 different ratings.

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Click on “Forgot your password?” in the Log in screen, enter your email address, and we’ll send you a link to reset your password.

Reach us and we’ll help you out.
Only once you’ve signed up and we’ve verified your details, you can start renting! Note: the “Item Details” section is crucial! It gives you a description of what you’re about to rent, item condition, item missing components and parts (if any), the rent duration (if applicable), rent notice (if applicable), and if discounts are available. The calendar then shows you when the item is available and the available quantity for rent. All you’re required to do is select your preferred dates, select the quantity, and click “✓”.
That shouldn’t be the case but if you still believe so, “Reach us” and we’ll get in touch with the Lender to rectify the issue.

You will be directed to the Item Inspection screen, wherein you will be asked to provide details such as photos of the item upon receipt as well as any comments you may have. Once this is completed, the Lender will be notified that you’ve received the item.
Don’t panic, there’s probably a valid reason for that. The Lender has her/his own reason(s) for doing so. Try out another Lender!
You’ll need to discuss the pick-up and drop-off of any item with the Lender via Messages. tnerit does not currently offer a delivery service.
Of course! All you need to do is go to your Profile and select “Shift to Lender”. It’s that simple!
Go to your Profile and click on “Favorites”. Stop staring, start renting!
If a Lender cancels on you less than 48 hours from the rent start date, your compensation (in addition to your refund) appears as tnerit Credit. You can use your tnerit Credit for future rents!
Also, if you cancel a rent less than 48 hours from the rent start date, cancellation fees will be deducted from your tnerit Credit, and/or the debit/credit card you registered with!
Go to My Rentals and click on “>” from any of the tabs to view your previous transaction. In My Rentals, you’ll be able to view all your rental and cancellation charges.
If the item given by the Lender does not match the description and photos on the listing, you could either decide to keep the item and proceed with the rent, or cancel the rent by clicking “✘” under the Active tab in My Rentals. If you decide to cancel the rent, you must immediately return the item to the Lender (the same day you meet to collect the item). After cancelling the rent, you should then use the “Reach us” function on the app or website, to explain the situation, and the tnerit team will look into it and provide a complete refund if applicable. This procedure applies to items that are damaged and/or counterfeit. For further information, refer to tnerit’s terms and conditions.
If you agree to proceed with the rent, then the rent should continue as normal and we encourage you to rate the Lender accordingly. However, if you decide not to proceed with the rent, you can cancel the rent, by clicking “✘” under the Active tab in My Rentals. After cancelling the rent, you must then use the “Reach us” function on the app or website, to explain the situation, and the tnerit team will look into it and provide a complete refund if applicable.
If you are late to pick up the item from a Lender, the Lender could either decide to proceed with the rent or cancel the rent. If you fail to pick up the item after multiple attempts by the Lender to get it touch with you, the Lender would then most likely proceed to cancel the rent. Refunds are not applicable in this case.
We’ve got you covered for damage, please refer to tnerit’s Insurance Coverage Summary to know more.
Although tnerit aims to ensure all listings on the platform are authentic, some counterfeit products will inevitably make their way onto the platform. As such, you are encouraged to use the “Reach us” function on the app or website to let us know about the counterfeit product and the user who listed it.
If the Lender is late to pick up the item from you, we encourage you to rate the Lender accordingly. If the Lender fails to pick up the item after multiple attempts by you to get it touch, you should then use the “Reach us” function on the app or website to explain the situation to us.
Yes, as long as you made the Lender aware that you’d be taking the item out of the UAE and the Lender gave their written permission.
Before you can list your item, your mobile number, Emirates ID, Professional/Trade License, and Tax Registration Number (if applicable) must be verified. Once that’s done, ensure that you’re on Lender Mode and click on “Add Item” or “+”. What’s required?
In addition to approving new listings, tnerit also reviews any new photo you’ve uploaded to your existing listing. If approved (within 6hrs of uploading a new photo), your new photo will go live on tnerit. Note: a grey “✓” will be placed on a photo that hasn’t been approved yet and a pink “✓” will be placed on a photo that has been approved.
tnerit recommends that it’s best to price your item (Price Per Day) between 5-8% of the item’s retail price. For example, if you own a bicycle that you’ve purchased for AED 1,500.00 (item retail price), we suggest you price your item (Price Per Day) on tnerit somewhere between AED 75.00 and AED 120.00. This doesn’t mean you must stick to our pricing advice – it’s entirely up to you. Don’t forget to check out our discount pricing feature for longer duration (7+ days) rentals.
Note: The minimum price per day is AED 7.00 and for VAT-registered businesses, it must be AED 7.00+VAT.
As a Lender, this is crucial! Our advice is to put yourself in the Borrowers’ shoes. Hint: if the camera on your smartphone isn’t that great, use a professional camera instead. The more photos you upload (minimum of 3 and maximum of 10 photos), the higher the chances are of you attracting potential Borrowers! Placing your items against a plain white background should also help!
Anything! As long as it’s legal. We keep updating our list of categories and subcategories for you, but if you feel we’re a bit slow, feel free to “Reach us” on the app or website to let us know!
It’s your item, you own it, and you make the final call. We suggest you update your calendar (available/blocked days) for each item so that Borrowers can stay up to date too!
Note: if you don’t accept a rent request within 6hrs, the rent request will be automatically deleted.
You cancel | Less than 48hrs | Less than 24hrs |
Cancellation Charge | 30% | 40% |
Borrower cancels | Less than 48hrs | Less than 24hrs |
Compensation | 2.5% | 5% |
Note: tnerit rental fee is non-refundable.
First, ensure that your “Payout” details have been filled in correctly (UAE Bank Accounts only). On the rent expiry day or if a Borrower cancels during an active rent, you’ve got to click on “Item Returned” in order for us to update your Account Balance. tnerit processes your payout request once you choose to withdraw an amount (in AED) earned from rentals, which is displayed in Withdrawals à Account Balance. The minimum amount you can withdraw is AED 116 (Note: this includes a transfer fee of AED 16). Here’s an example:
You’ve rented out your barbecue set for the weekend (Friday & Saturday) and earned AED 300. Then, you’ve requested to withdraw AED 300, your payout will be AED 284 (AED 300 – AED 16 = AED 284).
As a Lender, you’ll be able to view each payout transferred, all your cancellation charges, and all compensations.
We love our Calendar, it’s simple and efficient. Click on a date (or multiple dates) and there you go – you have the option to make your item available or not and change the Price Per Day, as well as the item quantity.
Hypothetical situation: Sarah conducted some research and found out that Borrowers on tnerit tend to mostly rent items on a Monday, regardless of the price. All Sarah must do is click on the dropdown menu in the Calendar to select her listed item and start editing the Price Per Day as well as the availability for any selected date; this feature is commonly used on weekends and for seasonal pricing.
Note: You can’t delete an item that you’ve already accepted to be rented out (in “Upcoming”) and/or an item that is currently rented out. You also can’t delete an item in Expired before clicking on Item Returned – we’d like to update your Account Balance first!
You will be directed to the Item Inspection screen, wherein you’ll be asked to provide details such as photos of the item upon return as well as any comments. Once this is completed, the Borrower will be notified that you’ve received the item. We’ll only update your Earnings and Account Balance once you’ve completed your Item Inspection.
Stats allow you to view your progress on tnerit by displaying information that’ll help you monitor and develop your activities! They include: your Earnings (received and expected in addition to yearly details), your items’ Views, and your Account Balance.
If all attempts to communicate with the Borrower fail, the Lender should report the case to the relevant authorities (Police Departments in the Emirate where the rent took place). tnerit is not responsible for any theft of an item rented out by a Lender. For further information, refer to tnerit’s terms and conditions. tnerit would be more than willing to comply with the authorities to assist with any investigation.
We’ve got you covered for damage, please refer to tnerit’s Insurance Coverage Summary to know more.
Although at times delays are inevitable, the Borrower must adhere to the agreed upon item return time. If the Borrower fails to do so, we encourage you to rate the Borrower accordingly.
If the Borrower is late to pick up the item from you, you could either decide to proceed with the rent or cancel the rent. If you decide not to proceed with the rent, you can use the “Reach us” function on the app or website to cancel the rent.
If the Borrower fails to pick up the item after multiple attempts by you to get it touch with them, you should then use the “Reach us” function on the app or website to cancel the rent.
Yes, provided that you’ve given the item to the Borrower in the UAE and you gave written permission to the Borrower for that item to be taken out of the UAE.
